IT'S BOAT TIME BABY!

Spend a week with your favorite friends and strangers on this years
most anticipated boat-based festival: Sailing Shenanigans! Be prepared to
explore the Caribbean in the simultaneously most peaceful and chaotic way possible.
Each year David and Phillip charter a huge sailboat for the sole purpose of pretending
to be pirates, and you get to join!

Destination - Saint Martin

This year we'll be headed to the island of St. Martin. David and Phillip have taken a group here before and we're excited to go back without COVID restrictions. It's super easy to fly into, has amazing creole food, and we can bounce around to many other islands like St. Barts!

Boat

The sailboats we charter are quite large and comfortable. We've chartered everything from a 38 footer that fit five of us to a 55 foot monster. It all depends on the needs of the crew, but you can expect to have a small bunk and space to yourself. Toilets are plenty, there are showers, and a full kitchen. It's cramped, but there's more than enough space for fun.

Activities

St Martin is a relatively populous area which means we'll be spending a lot of time in and around people. Expect to visit shops and restaurants, remote beaches and small islands, fancy shopping towns, and lots of snorkeling. As we sail in between these destinations kill time by reading, drinking, and playing games.

  • Flights

Fly into SXM, the only airport on St. Martin. Plan to arrive by noon on the first day or get there earlier to spend time on the island.

  • Dates

Possible dates are Dec 27 to Jan 3, or Feb 14 to Feb 21, depending on availability for most people.

  • Food

Breakfast and lunches will be made with food stocked on the boat and we'll go to a few on-land dinners to experience the culture.

  • Cost

This will depend heavily on how many people go and the dates we choose. Expect to spend at $500 for flights, and $500 to $1000 for the boat. It's for a whole week, so it's cheaper than a hotel.

  • Plus 1's

Invite your plus 1, but keep it limited to that. If you add a plus 1 on the survey, make sure they don't also fill out the form.

  • First come first serve

The order of priority is determined by when you submit the form, so people send it early.

Get ready to get tapey
